Linathane® Polyurethane Products

Custom-moulded Linathane® polyurethane products are renowned for their excellent resistance to cutting and tearing in tough applications, especially those involving impact from sharp particles or tramp metal.

Overview

Linathane® polyurethane moulded products are chemically formulated to provide superior wear resistance for general duties including impact panels and screen panels.

Renowned for their excellent resistance to cutting and tearing, polyurethane panels and liners are particularly suited to applications involving sharp particles or tramp metal.

As a mouldable compound, Linathane® rubber is typically used in applications where higher velocities and/or higher tip speeds are encountered beyond the capabilities of our other compounds (e.g. impeller/grinding disks).

Linathane® Polyurethane Modular Anti-abrasion Panels

By working closely with our customers in the mining and minerals processing sectors, our expert engineers have developed high-performance polyurethane panels for use in all medium to high wear applications.

Our modular polyurethane anti-abrasion panels provide the following benefits:
  • Ideally suited for localised impact and wear points
  • Engineered to provide superior abrasion, cut and impact resistance
  • Assist in the suppression of noise and vibration.
  • These modular polyurethane panels are easy to fit and replace and use a self-sealing design to reduce both installation time and costs
  • The interlocking plug design ensures easy alignment
  • The secure fastening mechanism reduces the chance of fine material ingress between panels to promote even wear patterns
  • Long wear life
  • Can be custom moulded and designed to suit specific lining requirements
Each polyurethane panel measures 300mm x 300mm and is available in 30mm and 50mm thicknesses to ensure the best fit for your specific operating conditions.

All-polyurethane Linathane® panels feature an orange base with a blue wear indicator layer to assist with maintenance scheduling.

Material: Linathane® Polyurethane
Preferred Feed Materials: Minerals and aggregates
Recommended Applications: Wear lining and corrosion protection against medium to high impact abrasion. Can be used for hoppers and under-pans, chute lining and dredging.

Features and Benefits

Can Be Moulded into Complex Shapes

At Weir, we use a premium grade of open-cast polyurethane. This allows us to mould the Linathane® polyurethane into a large variety of shapes, panels and liners.

Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Linathane® custom-moulded polyurethane products are compounded and made specifically to suit the application. This provides increased wear life compared to other polyurethane products.

Why Weir?

At Weir, we are able to provide a wide range of rubber and polyurethane wear lining solutions that are tailored to suit each customer's individual requirements and needs.
This allows us to provide customers with a complete solution, understanding that the right application of rubber and/or polyurethane can improve service life.

Our competitive advantage in the application of wear lining systems is due to our:

  • Well-proven, proprietary manufacturing process that produces premium rubber products and compounds of superior capability
  • Technical knowledge and experience across a variety of industries
  • Products being tested at operating mine sites amongst the elements, not just in a laboratory setting
  • Ability to provide reduced operational downtime and lower total ownership costs
  • Worldwide network of qualified technical experts, distributors and service facilities in most of the major mining regions

Combined, this equips our team to confidently produce and install complete wear lining solutions to suit your needs, specific requirements and applications when you need it most.

Applications

Linathane® polyurethane products are chemically formulated to provide superior wear resistance in applications involving hydrocarbons or impact from sharp particles and tramp metal.

Linathane® rubber is frequently used for screen and impact panels, impellers, grinding disks, forklift truck tyres, scraper blades and spool linings. It can also be used within fine screening applications, hydrocyclones and pumps, scraping and cleaning applications and where polyurethane outperforms other rubber products (e.g. high-velocity applications).
