What we are doing

  • Worked in partnership with our customer to integrate the new WBH® pump into the existing operation
  • Tailored engineering solutions
  • Extending pump wet end wear life

Benefits to you

  • Lower total cost of ownership
  • Increased flow rate
  • Reduced plant downtime
  • Increased system reliability

Summary

Weir Minerals’ implementation of a Warman® WBH® 100 pump saves our customer's operation A$114k per annum.

Randalls Gold Project in Australia was experiencing poor operational efficiency, cost of spares and long delivery lead time. With a new tailings pipeline requiring increased flow capacity, they turned to Weir Minerals to optimise their operation.

The Weir Minerals team designed a custom solution that integrated the implementation of a Warman® WBH® 100 pump within the existing system.

The implementation of the new WBH® pump has resulted in savings of A$114k p.a. in total ownership costs in their tailings disposal application and optimised flow rate to 265 m3/h – a 34% increase from competitor pumps.
