Screening Equipment

With a commitment to innovation and quality, our range of highly-engineered Enduron® vibratory screens are design to suit a wide variety of mining and aggregate applications, no matter your needs.

Overview

With over 150 years of engineering expertise and decades of creating innovative designs from the highest quality materials, our range of screening equipment is built for maximum throughput and efficiency.

Offering outstanding performance, using the latest in materials technology - Enduron® screens provide long service life, within even the most demanding applications.

Our range of screens make particle size separation possible and are a critical piece of machinery onsite because they protect crushers from abnormal feeds and process the crusher’s discharge before feeding the next phase of the circuit.

Like most highly-engineered equipment, product selection is key to ensuring screens operate at optimum performance. It’s important to select a screen which not only meets the site’s current requirements, but can keep up as the requirements of the circuit change over time.

Whether you need a screen that provides high-production rates or increased accuracy and efficiency, we can provide the perfect Enduron® screening solution to suit.

Types of Vibratory Screens

At Weir, we manufacture a wide variety of screens, all of which have been purpose-built to meet specific requirements. From dewatering to horizontal and multi-slope screens, each variation has specific features and benefits to ensure they excel in their specific application.

Dewatering Screens

Dewatering screens are a type of screen that have a deck that is angled upwards, from the feed-end down to the discharge. This inclination means that the material is forced to act against gravity and flows across the screen media slowly, resulting in typically high dewatering and a drier end product.

Our range of dewatering screens have been designed using proven methodologies and are manufactured using industry-leading technologies and materials.

Horizontal Screens

Horizontal screens, on the other hand, are designed to ensure the material spends more time in contact with the deck. By removing the inclination, the feed material is thrown forward by the linear motion of the mechanism.

The additional time during processing provides the screen media with more opportunity to separate material and, as a result, increases accuracy and efficiency.

Banana Screens

There are some applications where neither an inclined or horizontal screen is the best solution; or, perhaps more accurately, both screens offer some benefits, but are also deficient in some important aspects too.

Banana screens offer a great solution for customers wanting to combine the high production rate of inclined screens with the sorting efficiency of horizontal screens.

Banana screens – so named because their shape resembles the fruit – have an aggressive feed slope (between 25-35 degrees) where the feed enters the machine.

They are recommended for applications where the minerals to be classified contain a large amount of fine material.

Applications

Vibratory screens can be used in every industry where separation is required, however our screens are especially designed for mining, mineral processing and sand and aggregate production.

Typical applications include:

  • Desliming
  • Drain and rinse
  • Washing
  • Media recovery
  • Trash removal
  • Dewatering
  • General product classification (sizing / re-sizing)
  • Size separation
  • Beneficiation
  • Primary, secondary and tertiary crusher scalping

Enduron® Vibratory Screens Range

ENDURON® ELITE Banana Screens

Weir's ENDURON® ELITE double-deck banana screens for hard rock mining, often referred to as "multi-slope" vibrating screens, are designed for dry and wet vibrating screens applications within mining and mineral processing industries. These high-performance vibrating banana screens are renowned for their high capacity in fine sizing applications. They offer exceptionally high throughput per screening area and are very effective when the feed contains a large amount of undersize material. ENDURON® ELITE banana screens are available in a range of sizes with the largest weighing in at close to 50 tonnes and a deck measuring 4.3m x 8.5m. They are powered by Weir’s patented ETX exciters, providing an energy-efficient operation with just two exciters. ENDURON® ELITE screens deliver significant advantages in efficiency, lowering total flowsheet energy consumption by up to 40%, as well as simplified maintenance requirements, ensuring minimal downtime.
